Damien Kingsley – The Knock Knock Tour

This year, stand-up comic Damian Kingsley embarks on a penniless journey from Lands End to Edinburgh, playing 120 shows in order to raise money for the homeless charity Shelter.

From his website:

He won’t be able to use any money or public transport so he’s hoping to be given shelter, food and maybe a few lifts on the road to Edinburgh – in return he’ll tell jokes to anyone anywhere, from the Nags Head to Granny’s front room, for the basic necessities so many people have to do without every day. The aim of the tour is to raise at least £7,000 by 29 August.

Shelter helps millions of people every year struggling with bad housing or homelessness through advice, support and legal services and campaigns to make sure that one day, no one will have to turn to Shelter for help. Shelter exists so no one has to fight bad housing or homelessness on their own.

We are excited to have Damian join us at The Cause on Saturday 30th April. We will be setting a donation charge of £3 at the door to aid Damian’s efforts. All the proceeds will go to the charity.

Damian will perform in the hall at 7.30pm, with drinks being available from 7pm.
