Quaker Meeting

Quakers @ The Cause

Quakers meet each Sunday in the main hall at the Cause from 10.30-11.30am. The main Hall at the Cause is the original 17th century Quaker Meeting House and dates back to the 17th Century. Quaker focus is on experience rather than written statements of belief. Meetings are held in silence to help discover a deeper sense of God’s presence within the world and ourselves.

Quakers have a broad understanding of “God” and draw on a variety of sources for guidance and inspiration. the Quaker way has its roots in Christianity and finds inspiration from the bible and the life and teachings of Jesus. Quakers also find meaning and value in the teachings of other faiths, acknowledging that ours is not the only way.
